Some end users are genuinely clueless but it’s not unusual to see seemingly ridiculous lowball offers turn into low-ish but still decent sales if the domainer educates the person in question.

As a domainer, I’m sure you understand where I’m coming from. A lot of domainers are actually “right” so to speak, in other words they add domains which genuinely have potential to their portfolio.
Unfortunately, as investors often say, the market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent, so they have to let go of those domains too soon for liquidity-related reasons and end up selling at break even or even at a loss.

Being memorable is one of the most important characteristics a domain should have and a lot of people assume that all short domains are memorable because… well, they’re short.
That’s not necessarily accurate and a lot of times, a long(er) domain can be far more memorable than a short one.

If you take a look at the domains that will be auctioned via GreatDomains as of the 18th of this month, you’ll notice that mr.org is listed at no reserve basically (the reserve price is between 1 and 99).
Obviously, the owner wants to generate a bidding war by listing it at no reserve but the strategy can backfire if not enough people bid. Anyway, I’m sure lots of you (including yours truly) would love to snag it at the right price, so that leads me to the question I asked in the title: what would you do with it?
