If you take a look at the domains that will be auctioned via GreatDomains as of the 18th of this month, you’ll notice that mr.org is listed at no reserve basically (the reserve price is between 1 and 99).
Obviously, the owner wants to generate a bidding war by listing it at no reserve but the strategy can backfire if not enough people bid. Anyway, I’m sure lots of you (including yours truly) would love to snag it at the right price, so that leads me to the question I asked in the title: what would you do with it?
The dot org extension, in my opinion, makes it a good choice for a community. Personally, I’d turn it into a men’s community, so probably blog + forum. Basically a place where men can discuss various things like sports and what not.
It’s a solid dot org and at the right price, I’d be a bidder myself.
There are always at least a handful of great domains at Sedo’s monthly auctions but the thing is, a lot of them are often overpriced, it’s pretty rare to see a domain like Mr.org listed at no reserve.
It’s pretty risky but basically whenever you list a domain at no reserve, you’re willing to let the market decide how much it’s worth.
