Reisen, .University, .Toys and .Town), the results were let’s call them mediocre. But what registry operators should be worried about is the fact that two of this week’s extensions are basically as good as they get: Dot University and Dot Toys.

This Week’s New gTLD Launches

Posted on 07 July 2014 by Andrei

If I’m not mistaken, 4 new gTLDs will enter the General Availability phase tomorrow. Two of them tomorrow (so on the 8th of July) and the remaining two on Wednesday (in other words, on the 9th of July).

Please note that since most new gTLDs are very poorly promoted, I may very well miss some. Do your own research as well, don’t just rely on what you read on DomainingTips because while I do my best, I cannot make any accuracy guarantees.

Three New gTLDs Will Be Entering the General Availability Phase Next Week

Posted on 15 June 2014 by Andrei

There won’t be all that much activity in the new gTLD space next week, only three new gTLDs will enter the General Availability phase.

Tomorrow, Dot Archi will go live, a niche gTLD for architects. The gTLD operator is startingdot. It’s their first gTLD launch, they also operate Dot Bio and Dot Ski.

General Availability for 7 New gTLDs Starting Tomorrow

Posted on 03 June 2014 by Andrei

The general availability phase for 7 new gTLDs will start tomorrow. I might have missed some because quite frankly, a lot of new extensions are so poorly promoted that even the people/companies behind them might have forgotten about the launches.

New gTLDs Had a Better Week

Posted on 29 May 2014 by Andrei

… but only because the previous one set the bar so low, with a grand total of only 4209 registrations after day one for 6 gTLDs (an average of 702 registrations per new gTLD after day one of General Availability, which is basically supposed to be the most spectacular day in terms of registrations by far).
