Not bad! According to RegistrarStats.com, there were 19,954 dot link registrations yesterday. Dot photo also did well, with 5,196 registrations and the same thing can be said about dot gift (4,392 registrations yesterday). Dot pics didn’t do as well as dot photo but still, it got 2,210 registrations on the first day of general availability. Dot guitars however only got 346 registrations and represents the worst performer out of the 5 Uniregistry new gTLDs which just went live.

… at least up until this point. The numbers are impressive: 31,486 .berlin registrations in just one day according to RegistrarStats.com. In other words, dot berlin is the #2 new gTLD (dot guru is the #1 new gTLD at the moment of writing, with 44,519 registrations) after just one day.

I like the fact that Rick Schwartz is raising awareness through an appropriate domain, HallofShame.com.
As you can see by taking a look at the website, he basically calls out companies that want to unethically obtain an asset that doesn’t belong to them instead of simply negotiating and trying to buy it from the owner.

The registries (PIR aka Public Interest Registry for dot org and Verisign for dot net) will be increasing the price of dot net and dot org domains as of the 1st of July.
Just thought I’d let you guys know so you can make the proper arrangements.
If you can, try to register/renew/transfer domains before the new prices go live.

The auctions will end today at 5 PM EDT, so if my calculations are correct (I’m not from the US), there’s only about 1 hour and 7 minutes left at the moment of writing.
As mentioned on the 22nd of May, DomainBoardroom.com and Escrow.com, together with Elliot Silver, are organizing a charity auction (everything will be donated to Oklahoma tornado victims) at ElliotsBlog.com.

It seems GoDaddy is no longer letting you use in-store credits to pay for purchases for which you use certain coupons (again, certain coupons, not all of them). Just thought I’d let you know in case you were wondering why you’re not able to finalize the checkout process.
