Each year, a genuinely awesome event is organized which deserves the name Project For Awesome in my opinion, please invest at least a minute of your time to check it out. The main goal is raising money for charities in an original manner and it works like this: some people post videos about their favorite charity so that others can vote (the money which is raised ultimately gets sent to the most voted charities, so we decide where the money goes), some people donate money (you can donate through their Indiegogo campaign by clicking HERE and will receive all sorts of interesting/funny perks), some people do both.

This is unfortunately going to be a post about how life really, really sucks sometimes. Tim is a fellow domainer, I’ve interacted with him a few times and can tell you he’s a real go-getter. Unfortunately, life can even throw a curveball to such people and his wife was recently diagnosed with very aggressive cancer.

I’m very disappointed by those who are using the terrorist attacks which have taken place in Paris as an excuse to start promoting hatred, especially against refugees in this case but against Muslims in general in a lot of situations.

After the terrorist attacks which have taken place in Paris, a lot of people are making the mistake of fighting hatred with hatred.
Refugee camps have been attacked (as if the refugees who are fleeing from conflict zones to find a better life for themselves and their families are at fault for atrocities committed by terrorist psychopaths), people are starting to say free movement within Europe (the pillar of the European Union) should be restricted again and the list could go on and on.

In my upcoming book, I’ve written an entire subchapter about the fact that life unfortunately sucks sometimes. An illness for example (something I’ve personally been through and something the domainer I’m referring to is now dealing with) can bring a person who thought he was in good financial shape on the brink of bankruptcy. Today’s post is about Rami Steitiyeh, a fellow domainer who has been in the industry for many years.

I absolutely love the concept behind this charity project and want to share it with you guys, it works like this: you install a browser plugin and every time you open a new tab, you’ll be taken to a page that displays advertisements instead of seeing a blank one.
The people behind the project make money through those advertisements and donate it to whichever type of charity you choose: human rights, water, education, health or the environment.

Paul, the brother of Bob Olea (one of the nicest guys in our industry, as anyone who knows him either personally or only online can confirm), passed away after fighting a ruthless disease which left his family financially devastated and his family needs our help.
Bob started a FundRazr campaign through which you can make donation, please click here to contribute.
You can also donate directly via PayPal, Bob’s PayPal email address is daddybat@hotmail.com.
As anyone who has gone through something like this knows, such illnesses have catastrophic financial consequences. Paul’s wife Jeni and his son Paulie have lost their home as well as their financial future, they need our help to start rebuilding their lives.
My sincere condolences Bob, you guys will be in my prayers.
To help Jeni and Paulie, please donate through the FundRazr campaign by clicking here or directly via PayPal by making the payment to daddybat@hotmail.com, Bob’s PayPal email address.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a domainer, an entrepreneur, an engineer, a doctor, a lawyer or anything else. Tomorrow, let’s all be humans together and remember something that our species should be ashamed of.
Words can’t begin to describe how important it is for all of us to remember those events and do everything we can to make sure that nothing like that will ever happen again. By watching a documentary, by reading an article, by saying a prayer.
