The Internet Is (Project For) Awesome!

Posted on 13 December 2014 by Andrei

As of 2007, the Project for Awesome is organized on the second Friday and Saturday of December. It works like this: some people post videos about their favorite charity, some people donate money (you can donate through their Indiegogo campaign by clicking HERE), some people do both.

Who decides which charity receives more money? Everyone, there’s a voting process over at ProjectForAwesome.com.

If you donate today, each dollar you send will be matched 100% by a generous anonymous donor. In other words, if you donate let’s say $100, the person in question will donate another $100. The people behind P4A are Hank Green and John Green, two very well-known vloggers who, among other things, founded VidCon. Last year, over $850,000 were raised and I’m confident the results will be even better in 2014.

Head on over to their Indiegogo campaign by clicking HERE, you can donate as little as $1 and every cent counts. In my opinion, P4A makes it clear that yes, the Internet is and always will be awesome 🙂
