As a domainer, I’m always happy whenever someone puts a great domain to good use. I keep track of all sorts of finance-related stuff (the EUR/USD exchange rate, for example) and have used ForexPros.com even before they bought Investing.com.

With the Groupon thing, they screwed up… royally. Nobody’s perfect but let’s face it: GoDaddy is a genuinely impressive company. I own a hosting business (DomainingServers.com), an article writing business (Articles.biz) and so on, so I know a thing or two about offering online services.

… this is a resolution I forgot to mention and I think I’m not the only one who should do this haha. As a domainer or businessman, the worldwide economic climate undoubtedly ends up having an impact on your life.

For me (and most likely many others), 2013 will be a year of consolidation when it comes to my businesses as well as my activity as a domainer. I’ll be launching *one* new project in early 2013 and that’s pretty much it. Putting all of your eggs in the same basket is a mistake but then again, so is spreading yourself too thin.

As a person who earns a living online, I’ve had the privilege of meeting bright people from all corners of the world. An interesting trait that I’ve identified among smart people is the tendency to think… too much. The huge amount of information available online makes it easy to develop a mindset which revolves exclusively around gaining information. Learning, reading, re-reading.
But what about doing?

Robbie published an interview with one of the Web’s smartest and most handsome domainers earlier today… yours truly 🙂

Maybe you’re running online businesses, maybe you have a portfolio showcase site with a “contact” section and so on. I’m pretty sure most of you have at least one website with a contact form, so here’s a recommendation: eliminate all of the fields which aren’t necessary today, let’s make today the Internet’s “long forms suck” day 🙂

… and yes, it’s definitely something domainers should care about. Maybe not right away but in the future, a solution powered by Facebook might just end up representing a decent monetization method for certain domains.
