Competition – The Best Thing for Consumers

Think about it. In case you didn’t know, all domain registrars pay $7.85 to Verisign for each .com registration. That’s the wholesale cost of a dot com domain.

Now take a look around and you’ll see that pretty much all major registrars offer dot coms at less than $7.85 if you use a coupon. So they’re losing money on each dot com. Even more so, companies like GoDaddy frequently offer domains at prices like $0.99 and as you saw yesterday, even Network Solutions is doing it.

Another $0.99 GoDaddy Coupon

Yep, time for another one. I’m not 100% sure but I think it only works for one .com domain (some of these coupons work for up to 3 but I think this discount code only works for one). Also, it only works for customers from the US or Canada if I’m not mistaken.

I wish they had more international coupons that I could share with you guys… c’est la vie.

NameCheap Earth Day Domain Transfer Discount

Today, NameCheap is offering transfers at $5.99 a pop and you can transfer up to 10 domains. Also, they’re donating $1 for each domain and you can choose between two organizations.

NameCheap Domain Transfer Earth Day Discount on Monday
