Most people assume that just because you’re “good with money”, you’re automatically in a good position to make money actively doing lots and lots of things which require years of experience at the same time: if you’re a good domainer, you’re a good stock trader, a good forex trader and the list could go on and on.

Most of us don’t have to *go* to work each day, most of us don’t have to answer to a boss (since, well, we are the boss)… so you’d think that for people who earn a living online, time management is a piece of cake.

There’s (almost) always someone who achieved better results, has better domains, you name it.
Envy is perfectly natural because none of us are robots.

I always find it amusing whenever I come across someone writing about the fact that he wants to become a stock trader and “trade the news”… little does he know that by the time he reads a headline, other players are already knew about it and acted accordingly.
In other words, he’s a harmless little fish surrounded by sharks.

… and proud of it š
As domainers and I’d say as investors in general, cheap bastards have an advantage in my opinion: their ability to say “no” when it comes to irrational capital allocation temptations.

… yes, they can.
But they’re not going to achieve optimal results, which is not necessarily always a bad thing.
Let’s assume someone blindly bought 30 LLL dot coms in 2003 and simply kept them for 10 years. That person probably overpaid on most occasions but still, his investment generated an excellent return.
In my opinion, that will also be the case if you buy 30 LLL dot coms now and keep them for 10 years.
