Sometimes, It Doesn’t Matter If You’re Right

Posted on 16 August 2013 by Andrei

… this is one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned as a human being, as a domainer as well as an entrepreneur.

For this very reason, I always do everything humanly possible to avoid back and forth conversations with potential domain buyers, with existing or potential customers and so on.

Posted on 15 August 2013 by Andrei

With interests rates at record-breaking lows worldwide, I’m sure I’m not the only one who noticed that the yields/potential yields associated with let’s call them mainstream assets aren’t impressive right now.

In My Opinion, There Will Never Be a Perfect Domain Price Index

Posted on 14 August 2013 by Andrei

Sedo’s experiment with IDNX is interesting but the thing is, the domaining industry has certain particularities which make the job of someone who is trying to create a domain price index almost impossible.

Being a Domainer/Entrepreneur – One Important Disadvantage

Posted on 13 August 2013 by Andrei

I wrote lots of posts about the pros, so it’s time for one about something that isn’t all that great, at least based on my experience.

Posted on 10 August 2013 by Andrei

Only two coupons this week but the good news is that I think both of them work internationally, so not just for people from the US or Canada.

Didn’t test them myself though, so i’m not 100% sure.

The Difference Between Knocking on Someone’s Door and Someone Knocking on Yours

Posted on 09 August 2013 by Andrei

It seems a lot of domainers still don’t understand the difference between knocking on someone’s door and someone knocking on your door. In other words, the difference between two situations:

1) contacting an end user (knocking on his/her door)

2) being contacted by an end user (the end user knocking on your door)

When Selling to Another Domainer…

Posted on 08 August 2013 by Andrei

… be mentally prepared for *that* moment when you find out that he/she ended up selling it at a huge profit later on.

We’re only human, so it’s understandable that should this happen, you’ll regret selling it but you have to understand that it comes with the territory.

Analyze Your Portfolio as a Whole, Not Just a Few Individual Sales

Posted on 06 August 2013 by Andrei

Domainers, just like everyone else, tend to talk a lot about their successful transactions (their larger sales) but not so much about their portfolio as a whole.

Unfortunately, by doing that, they paint a picture that does not accurately reflect reality.
