As far as domainers are concerned, things like transferring a domain are a piece of cake. But during an end user sale, it’s important to understand that for the person you’re selling the domain to, all of this could represent a totally new experience.
Let’s assume you’re selling a domain to an electrician who never owned a website before.
Domain transfers, renewals, name servers, hosting… all of these things seem obvious to you but to a person who never owned a website before, they might seem very difficult, just like it would be difficult for you if the electrician you’re selling the domain to would ask you to repair something 🙂
I know, sometimes end users can ask ridiculous questions but as a general rule, I try to always be patient and reasonable with them because I understand that they might not be very good at this Internet thingy, just like I wouldn’t be very good at what they do for a living.
