I asked a pretty important question through a comment I wrote earlier today. One of my readers believes in dot tel development and was trying to explain how revolutionary this system is. Here’s a challenge for anyone in his position:
Ok, the system you’ve mentioned is the best thing since sliced bread, just one question: are you making money today?
In most cases, the answer is ‘no’.
Fair enough, then ask yourself the same question 3 months from now.
Is the answer still ‘no’?
Then ask yourself the same question after another 3 months, then after another three months and so on.
If the answer is always ‘no’, what does that tell you?

@Mike: The p-word? Don’t get me started π

You got me fired up when I read this post earlier and I put a good amount of domains up at No Reserve on Cax.com for a few week trial period. Instead of sitting around waiting while sitting on a few hundred domain names, why not just have a NR auction with a low start bid and then let the market decide their true values.

Only made $20 today..that’s $20 more than I made yesterday. booohooo.

@Poor Uncle: look on the bright side, at least you didn’t lose $20 today π
July 8th, 2011 at 6:21 am
I didn’t make money today.
But I spent money $14 to buy 2 new names for my latest exclusive collections:
3dChocolatePrinters.com
3dChocolatePrinting.com
My new technological, speculative 3d chocolate printing machine printers for “next big things” in the world.

@RAYY.co: you forgot to register Best3dChocolatePrinters.com and Best3dChocolatePrinting.com, time to up your game π
July 8th, 2011 at 7:06 am
@Andrel
Best3dChocolatePrinters.com and Best3dChocolatePrinting.com are not qualify for my exclusive collections. Period.
July 8th, 2011 at 7:53 am
@RAYY.co: wow, I thought you were just kidding. I performed a whois search and it seems you actually own 3dChocolatePrinters.com and 3dChocolatePrinting.com π
As a word of advice: please avoid registering such future trend domains. 3d.com is an amazing domain, 3dmovies.com/3dcinema.com are also great but 3dChocolatePrinters.com and 3dChocolatePrinting.com? Seriously?

“… I thought you were just kidding. I performed a whois search and it seems you actually own 3dChocolatePrinters.com and 3dChocolatePrinting.com …”
This is serious, no joking… I bought it because British Scientists Make Chocolate Goodies With 3D Printers…World’s first chocolate printer…
You can read the news in this link from Sydney Morning Herald latest news:

@Andrel,
Thanks for your advice regarding 3D. I do agree with you. I think what I have bought is the real things… as British Scientists have successfully developed its first 3D chocolate printer.
So, 3dChocolatePrinting.com will have its own value once 3d chocolate printers are introduced in consumer market place soon.
Note that 3dPrinting.com was sold for $33000 in 2011.

@RAYY.co: there are lots of end users for 3dPrinting.com but when it comes to 3dChocolatePrinting.com, the situation isn’t as great.
If (and that’s a big IF) 3d chocolate printing ends up becoming a niche, it’s highly unlikely that there will be more than 2-3 potential end users. That being stated though, the domain is definitely better than something pointless like 3dSlippers.com because there’s at least a possibility that 3d chocolate printing might become a niche.

@Andrel
“…thereβs at least a possibility that 3d chocolate printing might become a niche….”
It’s true that 3dChocolatePrinting.com is a very niche market for chocolate factories or small retail boutique chocolate shops or market catered for consumers custom-designed their own gift chocolate cakes.
May be, It can be a directory listing website for all local small businesses specialized in design your own 3d chocolate cakes, cupcakes, birthday cakes etc.
Or online store for consumers to instant design their own 3d chocolate cakes, make an order…print…pick up at the local 3d chocolate shop.
