I don’t get it, I honestly don’t.
Why would they launch dot uk domains at this stage in the game?

I read about Alan Dunn’s cause on Shane’s blog a few moments ago and the least I could do is blog about it and ask you guys to give it a moment of your time.
First, read Shane’s post.
Then, if you can, click HERE to donate.
I don’t know Alan Dunn personally but we’ve interacted on my blog a few times and his comments were always insightful, I sincerely wish him and his family all the best!

I like the fact that Rick Schwartz is raising awareness through an appropriate domain, HallofShame.com.
As you can see by taking a look at the website, he basically calls out companies that want to unethically obtain an asset that doesn’t belong to them instead of simply negotiating and trying to buy it from the owner.

In my opinion, there are two main types of domain investments and it all depends on how you want to make money:

At least one of them works internationally (not just for customers from the US/Canada) and as for the other two, I’m not 100% sure.
I think all of them work for new registrations as well as transfers.
One domain in each case but some codes work for up to three domains, so it might be worth a try.

As time passes, there are always various let’s call them domain value indicators that come and go. For example, the “exact match searches” indicator has been extremely popular up until not so long ago and as most of you know, its popularity has declined dramatically lately.

Let me explain what I mean through an analogy with trading stocks.
A lot of people “trade the news” or in other words, they buy or sell stocks based on the news they find out about. If it’s good news, they buy and if it’s bad news, they sell.

I think I just received the worst spam email in the history of domaining.
As a domainer, you’ll constantly receive spam from “Alex” and what not but the spam email I just got is literally a work of art.

I’m sure some of you remember that back in 2010, I launched a forum, DomainDiscussions.com. It went well initially, a little over 4,000 posts but I ended up abandoning the project due to lack of time.
But earlier today, after a trip down memory lane, I decided that it’s time to do something with it.

Another month, another round 🙂
As usual, I won’t write a novel about the portfolio, I’ll simply share my 2 cents and let you know:
1) what I think about it overall
2) which domains I like, which ones I don’t
3) whether or not I think you should change your approach
… things like that.
So if you want a free educated opinion about your portfolio, I’ll do it.
There’s only one catch: you have to be a DomainingServers.com customer.
If you’re not, sign up for an account by clicking HERE (it only costs $11.76 per year and you can host unlimited domains, everyone needs hosting and it doesn’t get any cheaper than $0.98/month haha) and email me after doing that.
Here’s what you have to do:
1) if you’re already a DomainingServers.com customer, email me at admin@domainingtips.com and mention one of the domains you’re hosting at DomainingServers.com (or let me know what email address you used when signing up) so I can confirm that you’re a customer
2) if you’re not a DomainingServers.com customer yet, sign up for an account by clicking HERE and then shoot me an email at admin@domainingtips.com
3) the subject of the email should be “my domain portfolio”
4) include the domain(s) you want me to take a look at
That’s pretty much it.
I’ll reply as soon as possible, hope you’ll find my opinion useful!
