When it comes to dot coms, I’m sure most of you agree that the effect of new gTLDs will probably be positive, consolidating its position as the market leader. I’m sure a lot of new gTLDs will be profitable but they can easily be extremely profitable without surpassing dot coms and, in fact, I honestly doubt any new gTLD operator thinks surpassing dot coms is even within the realm of possibility.
But when it comes to dot net and dot org domains, it’s a bit more tricky.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with reaching out and asking for a favor, nothing at all. Domaining is a small industry, everyone knows everyone so if you think another domainer can help with something, don’t be afraid to reach out.
But some people don’t understand that you have to also be willing to return the favor or even do someone a favor without owing that person anything.

Managed to find 7 GoDaddy discount codes this week. Unfortunately, 5 of them only work for customers from the US or Canada and as far as the other two are concerned, I’m not sure whether or not they work worldwide.

Sedo’s experiment with IDNX is interesting but the thing is, the domaining industry has certain particularities which make the job of someone who is trying to create a domain price index almost impossible.

I wrote lots of posts about the pros, so it’s time for one about something that isn’t all that great, at least based on my experience.
This is a problem that I’m sure lots of you guys have to struggle with as well: either lack of sleep or an unnatural sleep schedule.
Since I’m not from the US, the time difference thing is definitely problematic. Therefore, I ended up having to pretty much work a lot during the night.
