The Rex.com NameJet Auction Ended at $68,100

Posted on 27 July 2011 by Andrei

After 572 bids from 497 bidders, the Rex.com NameJet auction ended at $68,100. Three NameJet members placed bids which exceeded $50,000 and as I’ve mentioned earlier this week, Rex.com is being auctioned via NameJet by a domainer (so it’s not a domain that expired).

A fair price (in my opinion) for a three letter domain with a LOT of meanings. Leaving more or less obscure acronym possibilities aside, let’s not forget what the term “Rex” represents when it comes to the pet industry (Rex.com would be an excellent choice for a dog owner portal or a dog training resource and so on).

Andrei, it’s not a competition 🙂 Everyone has a lot more to say than simply post news. Your opinion is always valuable; not sure why you removed this from the Domaining.com timeline 😉

Oh and yes, I love sharing my opinions through DomainingTips. To be perfectly honest, giving advice and/or ranting is a lot more fun than covering news/sales but the reporter in me wants the best of both worlds I guess and I’m starting to like the “other side of blogging” as well.

So I had an auction and everything went smoothly. Payment was received, product was send out, the end. But I notice that I can still offer a Second Chance Offer to other bidders and I still have more of the exact same product to sell.
