So I saw “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” yesterday and while it’s better than the original one in my opinion (which is pretty rare), it still kind of left me saying… “meh”. The acting wasn’t bad and I like Michael Douglas, it’s just that as a businessman and an investor, such movies don’t really impress me.
On a similar note, I remember talking to a doctor a while back and mentioning Dr. House (I like Dr. House btw) and he said the same thing about doctor movies haha.
Maybe it’s a general thing and if you’re involved in “Industry X”, then you’ll have a hard time being impressed by movies related to Industry X.
What about you guys?

I agree with the overall sentiment of your post but…Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is nowhere near as good as the original. 🙂

@Samantha: I liked the sequel better because we found out that even Gordon can act like a human being… every once in a while 🙂

@Gary: stay tuned, I’ll be reviewing The Godfather tomorrow and we’ll party like it’s 1972!

Oh and btw: one of the things I didn’t like in the sequel was Charlie Sheen’s performance. He was brilliant in the 1st movie but in the 2nd one, the image he portrayed had nothing to do with the Bud Fox most of us expected to see. I was honestly thinking something along the lines of “WTF is Charlie from Two and a Half Men doing here?!?” a few seconds after his brief appearance 🙂
