I’ve noticed this while checking out but never got a chance to write a blog post up until this point. Through the “Round Up and Give Hope to Haiti” option, the amount you’ll pay gets “rounded up” and everything that exceeds what you’d normally be paying is donated (for example, you’ll pay let’s say $52 instead of $51.6 and the $0.4 is donated), very clever and at the same time generous IMO.
While $0.4 or $0.99 may not seem like a huge amount, let’s not forget that GoDaddy is the world’s #1 registrar and it adds up. In my opinion, they’ll easily be able to generate millions through this approach, I hope the “Round Up and Give Hope to Haiti” option is here to stay.
