Rick Latona’s Extended T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Las Vegas Auction – The Result

Posted on 04 February 2010 by Andrei

The sale of LongIsland.com for $370,000 brings this auction’s grand total to a very honorable amount: $379,200. A total of 9 domains have been sold, click here if you’re interested in finding out which.

Remember what I told you about “blockbuster sales” and how they influence the grand total of an auction right after the live event ended? Well, the LongIsland.com sale is a decent example and there’s definitely an important lesson to be learned: always analyze “the numbers behind the numbers”.

Haha, it seems that Mike Berkens has also blogged about the results and since he beat me to it (this time but mark my words: I WILL have my revenge :)), I’ll do the “fair play” thing and send some link love his way:

What happened to domaining.com? I see a lot of headlines which are not about domains, is this a bug?

  3. Andrei Says:

@Xdreamer: I’m not sure, I’ve noticed that as well but have no idea what happened.

LongIsland.com = not a pure domain sale, rather a well established and existing site from 1996.

I think I figured out what happened:
