I’m pretty excited about the three new features Escrow.com started 2016 with. First and foremost (and this is something non-US domainers will certainly appreciate), they’ve expanded their office hours from 8 am – 4 pm to 8 am – 11 pm which is a huge improvement.

I live in Europe, GMT +2, and therefore always had to handle phone-related stuff. Escrow.com office hours start at 7 pm my local time and end at 2 am. After these changes, office hours will end at 9 am my local time instead of 2 am, which makes it possible for me to get business done first thing in the morning. Huge, huge improvement.

The second feature is the fact that they now offer support in Chinese. I’m sure I don’t have to explain why this is a big deal, this is an extremely important pivot for Escrow.com. It’s also good news for non-Chinese domainers who sell to Chinese investors because the more China-friendly Escrow.com becomes, the more Chinese domainers will be willing to use it.

Finally, they made some domain financing-related improvements but to be honest, I don’t care too much about those, as domain financing isn’t an important component of my business model.

All in all, I’m happy that Escrow.com is on the right track.

The Freelancer.com guys know what they’re doing and this is great news for the industry IMO, hope all of us will have an awesome 2016!
