Domains vs. Real Estate – Revenue Comparison

Posted on 20 September 2015 by Andrei

Now from an asset appreciation perspective, real estate can’t touch domains, this much is certain.

From a revenue perspective however, real estate frequently wins and my country represents an example.

I live in my country’s second biggest city and can generate returns in the 9 – 15% yearly zone relatively easily by investing in real estate.

And I’m referring to 9 – 15% in Euros, not my local currency, which is pretty awesome in light of the fact that banks pay 1%-ish per year… not exactly tempting.

From a revenue perspective, domains don’t look all that great at this point, that ship has pretty much sailed for the most part.

How much could you guys generate via real estate investments in your country?

Sounds like an interesting topic for a Sunday evening (well, Sunday evening over here at least).

Please mention your country, a realistic percentage range and any particularities that are relevant.

In my case, it’s important to note that in other regions of the country, the returns can be considerably lower.

The city I live in is extremely vibrant, it’s experiencing amazing growth and therefore, should be treated as an exception rather than the norm.

Your article would be more interesting and less arbitrary if you were more specific regarding the exact location of your real estate investments. And maybe also added some domain investments and their comparison. keep up the good work!
