We’re ashamed of them, we may try to forget about them but the fact remains that we still screwed up… let’s share some domaining bloopers today guys!
I’ll start with one of mine, which I just noticed earlier today.
A while ago, someone bought some domains from me. We’re both active domainers and kind of busy, so he paid for them but after that, both of us forgot about the deal.
As I was trying to organize stuff better today, I noticed the domains still in one of my registrar accounts and thought to myself… “hmm… didn’t I sell these a while back?”
At first I thought it’s just a registrar glitch… you know, it sometimes happens that domains still appear in your account even after the buyer transferred them.
This time however, the domains were actually still in my possession.
I went through my records and figured out who I sold them to (ok, I was actually 99% sure who that was after I remembered, so this approach was more for confirmation purposes) and *when* this happened…
…
… drumroll, please…
… back in June, early June I might add 🙂
Yep, the buyer as well as yours truly forgot about them and for over half a year later, I luckily remembered.
Epic fail.
What about you guys?
What’s your most recent or most embarrassing domaining blooper? Don’t be shy!

I once let a 10kat the time domain drop because I thought I had on auto-renew.
Now worth maybe 5X that.

@spencer: I feel your pain haha, been guilty of the same thing, on a considerably smaller scale though but still
