DN.com Not Re-Opening for the Time Being

Posted on 14 March 2016 by Andrei

According to a recent email they’ve sent, DN.com will be closed for a few more days. Their exact wording is “several days more” and “several” is pretty strong wording but since the people behind the escrow service are from China, it might just be a language barrier thing, perhaps they didn’t use “several” to indicate that we’ll be talking about a significant amount of time and simply should have used “a few” or “lighter” expressions.

According to them, the admin.dn.com interface will continue being available but the main DN.com page still doesn’t resolve.

I don’t want to be too harsh on them but this really looks unprofessional.

However, maybe they’re doing it for legal reasons or something like that because they gave a few more additional details in the email:

“DN.com website was temporary closed for modifying the entity, and for the requirements of the government, the website will remain closed for several days more”

So it looks like this entire situation might be caused by some government regulations and maybe this is why the main page doesn’t resolve.

I have no idea.

There were some rumors that they’re switching to a new domain but they didn’t mention anything in this particular email.

They may or may not do it but again, nothing was mentioned in the current email.

Here is the full text of the email in question:

“Dear Clients,

Last week, DN.com website was temporary closed for modifying the entity,
and for the requirements of the government, the website will remain closed
for several days more. Please keep informed that admin.dn.com is available
to you with all functions. If you have other questions, please feel free to
contact service@dn.com and we shall serve you timely.

Due to the sudden change, we have received many inquiries and concerns,
thank you for all your support and love to DN.com. Once entity modification
is completed, DN.com will be back on.

Spring is the time for giving birth to the newborns, DN.com is also gaining
momentum for a new start. Let’s wait patiently and expect DN.com’s new
return. Thanks again!

Warmly Regards,

DN.com Team”

    Why does the site DND.COM have DN.com content?

    Some people on the Namepros threads are saying this is the new DN.com site.

    Is it a legit site belonging to DN.com? Is it a mirroring DN.com?

    Is it a copy/scam?

    Does anyone know.

  2. Andrei Says:

    @Eric: I don’t know unfortunately.

    I for one would NOT be entering my login details on any website until I knew for a fact that it was indeed legitimate. I’d highly recommend emailing them first or if you have a rep over there and know his/her telephone number, calling would be even better.

    @Andrei Using “unprofessional” is a good example of “lighter” expression.

    A few people have asked if members are able to access their money . . . anyone know if that’s been an issue since they closed temporarily?
