As a lot of you have noticed by now, DN.com is down. Down as in literally down, “Can’t reach this page” message and all that good stuff. No “We are undergoing maintenance” template, no explanation page, nothing.
This is beyond ridiculous/unprofessional and it’s things like this which make it clear our industry is still in its infancy.
Make no mistake, DN.com isn’t a small-time operation.
I mean we’re all domainers here, so I’m sure I don’t have to explain how much the domain itself (DN.com) is worth.
A lot, obviously.
Furthermore, DN.com is used quite a bit for short domain transactions, among them a lot of top dollar deals.
Under such circumstances, you as a company cannot afford to act in this manner.
You just can’t.
Now sure, they’ve notified people that some company changes are taking place but that’s no excuse not to at the very least have an explanation message on the site or something along those lines.
Taking the site offline altogether is just ridiculous.
Wtf?
For the love of God, please fix this and at least put a professionally written message on your website!

That is not the type of action that is acceptable from an escrow company. First and foremost an escrow company is built on trust, reliability, and reputation. This does not inspire confidence.
I wonder what will be back up first DN.com or DNForum.com.

They don’t care they don’t need western business, pretty soon they will own, and control all domains internally within their country.
Why do you support them, ever heard of escrow.com?

i’ve never actually used them but signed up there once because someone said they wanted to use them but we ended up using another site. anyway i’ve received emails for the last few days telling me they would be down from 1 to 3 days. granted they should have a front page up mentioning it. i generally use escrow.com… but seriously, they just started offering actual escrow service… but they’re calling ir concierge service and charging an extra 3 to 5 % for it. all these escrow companies are lazy and suck eggs. JMO/other opinions may differ.

Everyone wants to make money off the back of domainers 15-20% commissions on liquid domains sales WTF
Go get a real job and wake up at 5AM drive an hour, put 8 hours in, and drive an hour back home to put $200 after taxes in your pocket.
The fat cat bastards want to make $10K off a $50K sale, for using google translate, and a escrow.com link, along with a few clicks sitting in their PJ’s
Stop giving them access to make a living off your assets

They took two weeks to disburse payout to me. That’s the last time I used them. Their way of doing business is extremely immature.

Hi everyone,
I am Echo from DN.com.
First of all, DN.com is back! We are truly sorry for the sudden change, it was an internal mistake that we didn’t have the time to notify users in advance. We could blame the certain colleague for making such a mistake, but there is no point in doing this. We’re still responsible to everything.
Please note that DN.com’s fee rates are displayed on https://www.dn.com/fee, we don’t charge any hidden commissions. We have never done that and we won’t.
For those who have not used DN.com yet, we hope your opinions about us will be different in the future, at least we will work hard to earn recognition of you.
Thank you all for your concerns, we will continue to serve the domaining community with all our efforts. Wish you all the best!
Kind Regards,
Echo
