How to negotiate with non-English speaking domain buyers

Posted on 29 April 2018 by NamePros Daily

Today: The Risks Of Outbound Marketing Your Domain Names / Domain investors average monthly profit from selling domains / France seizes France.com from the registrant who’s had it since 1994 / And more!

Here are the new discussions that caught my eye in the domain community today:

ChristmasSpecial.net – What about a two-word holiday savings domain name? It seems to be targeted enough to have some demand, but does the .net hurt it?

Dog.srl – I’m not too sure about this one. The three letter word “dog” is great, but what about the new gTLD .srl extension? Is there any value in a short dictionary word like this one?

Fitwh.com – It’s five letters, but isn’t pronounceable. Does that mean there is no value or is it worth something because it’s only five letters?

The Risks Of Outbound Marketing Your Domain Names – Have you ever run an outbound marketing campaign to sell domains to potential end-users before? What are some of the negative aspects of such campaigns?

Domain investors average monthly profit from selling domains – What is your monthly average when it comes to domain name sales? Do you keep track of all your sales? Share your sales averages with others and compare notes.

France seizes France.com from the registrant who’s had it since 1994 – Wow! You have to love how a government can just take what they want when they want it. Do you have any country/city domain assets that could be taken from you in the future?

How to negotiate with non-English speaking domain buyers – Have you ever been contacted about one of your domain assets by a non-English speaking end-user? How did you communicate effectively to negotiate?

Today: How to contact a trademark holder to sell a domain / The internet has been blocked in Russia / Domain development client sells his business and the new owner decides to spams / And more!

Here are the new discussions that caught my eye in the domain community today:

I’m Buying A Brandable Domain Related To Culture and Growth – Be sure to check your domain portfolio for one of these culture and growth domain names. Check out the investors specified buying criteria.

Share your category killers in .holiday – Are you a .holiday new gTLD domain investor? Do you have any category killer investments? Id so, be sure to take a few minutes to share them here.

The future of 4L.com investments – Are you investing in four letter .com domain name assets? Do you think the liquid value will keep rising or will it level off and start to drop in the near future?

The internet has been blocked in Russia – Has anyone else ran into this problem yet? It seems that a widespread internet blocking campaign was launched in Russia that could affect domain investors.

How to contact a trademark holder to sell a domain – What strategies have worked for you in the past? Have you ever ran into legal issues approaching trademark holders?

Domain development client sells his business and the new owner decides to spam – What would you do if you had a contract to develop a domain for a client and a new owner took over the contract just to use the database for spam leads?

Why I registered 20,000 .xyz domain names – Now that is a lot of .xyzdomain registrations for one person. Have you ever registered 20,000 domain names all at once? How did that work out for you?

How to sell new gTLDs to .com owners

Posted on 15 April 2018 by NamePros Daily

Today: Crypto News Domain Wanted (Short .com) / .top – The new – highest TLD with the highest number of registrations / Hyphenated net, io, xyz, for tech & fin tech niches / And more!

Here are the new discussions that caught my eye in the domain community today:

UpCig.com – I’m guessing that this domain asset would do best in the cigarette/tobacco niche? Not sure how “Up” can play in with “Cig” though. Is there any value in today’s market or such a domain?

Neologism or Keyword? – Which one is it? Basically, a neologism is a made up word, also called “brandable” in the domain industry. Do you think unique made up brandable words are more valuable to companies than generic keyword domains?

AdMonster.net – It flows off the tongue easily enough, but does it have value? The ad network niche is very saturated and hard to crack into. Would this cause the value of such a domain to be lower than others?

Crypto News Domain Wanted (Short .com) – Be sure to check your portfolio for one of these domain name assets. This buyer is ready to invest. Be sure your domain name meets the buyers specified criteria.

.top – The new – highest TLD with the highest number of registrations – Are you a .top new gTLD investor? How do you feel about .top having the most registrations out of the new gTLDs? Are they mostly being used unethically or are some of the registrations actually being developed into legitimate businesses?

Hyphenated net, io, xyz, for tech & fin tech niches – Which extension is better for a higher value when using a hyphen in the domain name of a tech or fin tech domain asset?

How to sell new gTLDs to .com owners – Is this even a legitimate sales report? You be the judge. Do you have a special strategy to sell new gTLDs to die-hard .com owners, that works?

Today: Share your brandable .com with “earth” in name – $150 budget / The thing about backlinks for parked domains / Online+country.com – Good or bad investments? / And more!

Here are the new discussions that caught my eye in the domain community today:

Wage.insure – Sounds like a domain for a Union group that helps protect it’s members wages. Do you think a workers union would be interested in something like this and if so, how much would it be worth to them?

WeWant.pizza – It’s straight to the point and works for people that are pizza lovers. But, is that enough to bring value to the domain asset? How much is a pizza lover domain worth in today’s markets?

RentFast.org – Really? I mean, I get the point of some people wanting a fast rental with less paperwork, but as a non-profit .org? What kind of appraisal could this domain get?

Online+country.com – Good or bad investments? – What are your thoughts on the word “Online” coming before a country name instead of after it? Are they good investments that someone forgot about or are they still available for a reason?

Share your brandable .com with “earth” in name – $150 budget – Be sure to check your portfolio for an earth domain name that fits this investor’s criteria. You could make some quick cash if you have the right one.

The thing about backlinks for parked domains – Do you build backlinks before or after you park a domain name, or do you just rely on the backlinks the previous owner had when you decide to park a domain?

LLLL.COM chip domains wanted – Cash in hand! – Do you have any four letter .com CHIP domain names in your portfolio? Be sure to get them over to this investor that is buying them all up.
