One of my favorite Warren Buffett quotes, one that applies to domains as well in my opinion, is this:
“It’s far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price”

I’ve noticed that this applies to people who earn a living online more than to other individuals. But before I start, I just want to make one thing perfectly clear: I’m not saying you shouldn’t read/learn.
I love reading.

I’m convinced there will be at least a few companies that will offer domains free of charge and at first sight, this might seem like something significant/revolutionary but in my opinion, free new gTLDs won’t be a threat at all.
The paradox is that, again in my opinion, people won’t want them precisely *because* they’re free.

I often hear people say things like “once I make up my mind about something, nobody can stand in my way” as if it’s somehow a good thing. As a domainer, it’s not. Quite the opposite.
If you’re never willing to change your opinion (not even when confronted with overwhelming evidence), you’ll inevitably end up losing money for one simple reason: because you’re not allowing yourself to think rationally and, instead, are letting emotions take over.

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that as a domainer or let’s say as an investor in general, all you have to do is “be right” or in other words, figure out what will happen. Unfortunately for them, they forgot to take one very important thing into consideration: timing.

Managed to find all sorts of coupons for you guys this week.
Some of them should work internationally and as for the others, I’m not sure whether or not they work outside the US and Canada.

As a domainer, I can’t stress this enough: it’s in your best interest to understand the world we’re living in so that you can position yourself accordingly.
Most countries made huge mistakes, they spent money they didn’t have on things they didn’t need. Countries, citizens, almost everyone wanted to live beyond his/her means.

Human beings are fascinating.
People are willing to spend lots of money on all sorts of products they know they’ll barely use (like for example, a gadget you’ll use a handful of times until you get bored or realize it’s utterly useless), yet when it comes to the things they use a lot each and every day (the bed they sleep on 8 hours/day, the chair they sit on x hours/day and so on), they try to save a buck and settle for sub-par items just because they’re “on sale” for whatever reason.

This month’s Sedo Great Domains event will end tomorrow, only about 20 hours and 30 minutes left at the moment of writing.
Can’t say this is the best inventory they ever had but the domains aren’t necessarily bad either (some of them are actually excellent but their reserves are on the high side in my opinion). On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d say we’re somewhere in the 7 zone.

In my opinion, there are three important possibilities when it comes to the worldwide economy. We might have economic prosperity (positive scenario), deflation (negative scenario) or inflation (negative scenario).
Today, I’ll try to analyze all three scenarios and explain what I think will happen to domains as well as other asset classes.
