Human beings are fascinating.
People are willing to spend lots of money on all sorts of products they know they’ll barely use (like for example, a gadget you’ll use a handful of times until you get bored or realize it’s utterly useless), yet when it comes to the things they use a lot each and every day (the bed they sleep on 8 hours/day, the chair they sit on x hours/day and so on), they try to save a buck and settle for sub-par items just because they’re “on sale” for whatever reason.
Again, fascinating.
That brings us to the topic I’d like to address today.
In my opinion, the best investment you can make as a domainer is an investment in yourself.
In your health, in your education (and by education I don’t mean useless degrees) and so on.
Think about it.
Let’s assume you buy a domain for $x and manage to sell it a few years later for $5x or $10x or even $100x.
Not bad, not bad at all.
But a good investment in yourself can pay for itself thousands upon thousands of times over throughout your life.
The food you eat.
The things that affect your health.
The books you read and so on.
Investing in a great mattress, a great chair or broccoli (yes, broccoli) may not seem all that exciting but the dividends can end up being pretty amazing.
Most people neglect these investments.
The overwhelming majority.
They spend (waste) their money on all sorts of useless products which (at best) give them some mediocre short-term satisfactions and overlook the great investment opportunities that are right in front of them.
I’m probably the only person who ever told anyone to invest in broccoli but if you understand the main point I tried to get across and actually put my advice to good use, you’ll thank me in the future.
You’re welcome 🙂

This is one of the most helpful articles I have read on Domaining.com all year and I do manage to read a lot so that says a lot about this brief but fine article right here.
I would just add 1 more thing here if you guys don’t mind….
MANAGE your TIME better!
Since managing your time is managing your life. Everything else comes next.
