About a day or so ago, Francois announced that eCop will make it possible to make money by selling a domain without actually buying it (click HERE for more details). In my opinion, it’s an option (no pun intended) that a lot of domainers might find interesting and let me explain why.

On Wednesday, Liao.com fetched $118,888 over at NameJet, with 8 $50k+ bids. Today, Yin.com ended at $71,100 (Reserve Not Met) after 404 bids from 368 bidders (once again, several $50k+ bids) and at the moment of writing, Liu.com is at $39,100 after 339 bids from 329 bidders.

A lot of people see auctions with reserves at NJ and are naturally wondering if they can list domains as well. The short answer is yes. Listing a domain at NameJet isn’t as straightforward as listing it at Sedo (for example) but as you’ve noticed, domainers can and do auction domains there.

Their Cyber Monday promo came a bit late but hey, better late than never 🙂
This coupon works for new registrations as well as transfers and unlike most similar GoDaddy coupons, you can use it for up to 3 domains. Not bad, not bad at all and it seems I was wrong: NameCheap isn’t the only game in town when it comes to Cyber Monday.

I’m pretty surprised, this year’s promotions are pretty “meh” to be honest. Several companies are offering discounts but they’re nothing worth mentioning. One exception is NameCheap. So if there’s some software you’ve been meaning to buy or if there are products you’ve been thinking about purchasing, visiting the website of the company in question on Cyber Monday might be a good idea.

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, Black Friday is becoming popular in my country as well. I have waaaaaaay too much “stuff” as it is, so I don’t really need any new gadgets/TVs/whatever right now but as an entrepreneur, observing the phenomenon and comparing it to the US version was interesting to say the least.

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who is celebrating! Noticed something interesting over the past couple of years, Black Friday is becoming more and more popular in Europe as well. In my country, if you would have asked store owners about Black Friday promotions 7-8 years ago, they would have given you a compassionate “this guy has to be crazy” look but nowadays, more and more businesses are coming up with Black Friday promotions over here as well.

Adam was kind enough to mention the fact that I’m donating 100% of the revenue from all new DomainingServers.com shared customers until the end of 2012 via Kiva at the beginning of his most recent video, a video I invite you to view by clicking HERE.
