According to a NamePros member, Dreamhost (Dreamhost is not exactly a great company btw – ok, I know, I can’t be objective because I own DomainingServers.com which is also a hosting company – but even if you don’t end up choosing me as your hosting provider, do yourself a favor and go with an option that’s at least better than Dreamhost) called all of us squatters through their newsletter.

Alright guys, let’s analyze the 3 “post boom” years (2009, 2010 and 2011) with portfolio size as our main focus. To simplify everything, we have three months to put under the microscope (May 2009, May 2010 and May 2011) and just one question: how many domains did you own? In my case: May 2009 < May 2010 = May 2011. In other words, I owned more domains in May 2010 than in May 2009 and the size of my portfolio in May 2011 was pretty much identical to that of May 2010. What about you?

According to Oversee, the domain Data.com will no longer be available through their DomainFest auction because it just sold for an amount in excess of its $1,500,000 reserve. The terms have not yet been disclosed but the buyer is a very serious player: Salesforce.com.
