Quick Tip: Forward Email Messages to Your Main Account

Posted on 27 October 2012 by Andrei

Most of us have more than one email account and as a business owner as well as a domainer, it’s inevitable in my case as well. After all, displaying email@project1.com on the “Contact Us” page of project2.com wouldn’t exactly appear all that professional.

So instead of doing that, simply do the following:

Step 1) Decide which email account you want to use as your main one, so which email account you want to check each day. Let’s assume you want to use email@project1.com.

Step 2) For each new project, create a new email account. So for project2.com (for example), you’ll create the account email@project2.com.

Step 3) Forward email messages from all accounts to the main one. This literally takes less than a minute and that way, whenever someone sends an email to one of your accounts, you’ll receive it in your inbox at email@project1.com as well.

Told you it’s a simple tip but most people don’t do this.

If you don’t either, there’s no time like the present to put the tip to good use 🙂
