Last month, I told you guys about a new project I started: explaining important economics-related concepts through entertaining one-minute YouTube videos.
I started by publishing two videos: one about inflation and one about deflation.
The inflation one currently has 165 views, whereas the deflation video has about 3 times more, 529 at the moment of writing.
Not bad at all given my complete lack of YouTube experience and given the fact that I don’t actively promote the channel.
By the way, you can access my channel by clicking here.
A few minutes ago, I uploaded my third video, this time about hyperinflation.
I think it’s the best one yet.
As time passes, I will cover more and more complex topics.
I hope that, eventually, the channel will have 100+ videos.
I’ve chosen the one-minute format because I honestly think everyone needs to at the very least understand the basics when it comes to economics. On the other hand, I do realize that people have jobs/families/lives/problems and therefore, one can’t expect them to dedicate too much time to the goal of learning economics.
These one-minute videos represent a decent compromise in my opinion.
Time will tell how well-received this project will end up being.
I’m not exactly experienced when it comes to promoting videos, so any help would be appreciated. If you think others will find the videos useful, spread the word via twitter/facebook/etc., every little bit of exposure counts so that eventually, a “snowball effect” situation will materialize and there will be enough critical mass for me to take things to the next level.
