Case Study: OneMinuteEconomics.com

Posted on 08 November 2015 by Andrei

I hope domainers are at least moderately interested in economics (they should be, in my opinion) and that they’ll like the one-minute animations I’ll be publishing on YouTube from now on as an experiment. I’ve uploaded the first two today to see what happens and based on the feedback I’ll be receiving, will decide what to do next.

The channel is called One Minute Economics and can be accessed by clicking HERE.

I also have the domain OneMinuteEconomics.com and have set up a simple website through which people can subscribe to my newsletter and donate via Bitcoin and/or PayPal.

Right now, the channel doesn’t provide that much value.

There are only two videos: one about inflation and one about deflation.

As time passes however, I hope the channel will end up containing 100+ videos and that it will enable anyone who starts from scratch to become reasonable knowledgeable about economics in an afternoon(-ish).

Domainers should at the very least know the basics when it comes to economics in my opinion. What money is, what inflation/deflation/hyperinflation is, what the business cycle is, what Austrian economics is all about, what Keynesianism is all about and so on.

Whether you realize it or not, these things can and will have a huge impact on your life.

We’re living in an unbelievable fascinating economic climate and a lot of the things we’re dealing with are unprecedented. If you don’t at the very least arm yourself with some basic knowledge, you’ll just stand by and shrug while the economic events around you change your life forever, like most individuals do.

Don’t make that mistake, just don’t.

If you like the videos and want to support my project, please share them with other people and like/comment/subscribe on YouTube.

OneMinuteEconomics.com is more of a hobby for me at this point, don’t expect it to generate all that much money, so every little bit of help counts. A tweet, a facebook share, a blog post, a YouTube comment, a YouTube like and so on. I’m literally starting from scratch and for the most part have no idea what I’m doing (this is my first YouTube/video-related project), so your support matters more than you realize 🙂
