Thanks to the Internet, pretty much anyone can become a Jack of all trades.
But should you?
In my opinion, no.
Let’s assume you have a friend who’s a mechanic and that he wants to transfer a domain to another registrar, then set up a virtual business card on it (nothing fancy, just his name, phone number and things like that).
And let’s assume you notice something strange about the way your car is working.
Can the mechanic transfer the domain and create the site himself?
Can you figure out what’s wrong with your car yourself?
Of course!
Is this the optimal approach?
No!
It’s not, simply because these two tasks are outside your areas of expertise.
It might take him more than a day to figure out how to transfer a domain and set up a site.
It might take you more than a day to figure out what’s wrong with your car.
Let’s assume you switch places.
You’ve transferred domains before, you probably published at least some simple sites before, so it will take you considerably less to do that.
The same way, he works with cars all day and is experienced enough to be able to figure out what’s wrong considerably sooner.
You get the point.
You *can* be a Jack of all trades but it’s not the optimal allocation of time.
Just do what you do best and for everything else, hire someone.
