“Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet” – Abraham Lincoln

Posted on 05 March 2013 by Andrei

… you get the point 🙂

I’m often surprised that even people who should know better (yes, even domainers or entrepreneurs) don’t follow this fundamental rule. Always question everything, don’t blindly believe information.

After reading an article, verify the facts.

Do the research because if you let others spoon-feed you information, you’ll be all over the place.

Whenever someone wants to convince you of something, he/she picks the facts/arguments which strengthen the position in question.

Don’t settle for that.

Read arguments related to the “cons” as well, not just the “pros” and if the article in question doesn’t contain such arguments or only contains weak ones (in most cases, the “cons” side of the equation is not represented properly), find them yourself.

Be open to ideas but don’t blindly accept any of them.
