I work/communicate with people from all corners of the world, so do most of us and it’s something we shouldn’t take for granted. We earn a living online, yet often don’t even stop for a minute to think about just how amazing what we do is.

A lot of things are falling apart offline (the economy, TV, you name it), yet the Internet is becoming better and better with each day that passes.

You have websites like The Khan Academy which let you listen to what the world’s most brilliant minds have to say.

Prestigious universities put their best lectures at your disposal free of charge.

You have organizations like Kiva which help people improve their lives as well as their communities.

In just about any online industry imaginable, you have companies from all around the world competing for the privilege of doing business with you. Just think about domain registrations and compare Network Solutions to GoDaddy, I’m sure you get the point.

Let’s say 50-100 years ago, researchers had a very hard time communicating with their peers. Now, hospitals/universities/you name it can communicate with one another instantly and tasks which required months due to communication-related delays can now be finalized within minutes.

Unprecedented progress.
