I’m an Orthodox Christian but this year, Catholic Christians are celebrating Easter on the same day (this doesn’t always happen, sometimes the dates coincide but sometimes they differ), so I’d like to take advantage of this opportunity to wish everyone all the best.

Great news, it seems GoDaddy is once again starting to be more generous when it comes to coupons. Found 10 this week: two of them should bring the price down to $0.99, three should bring the price down to $1.99 and five should bring the price down to $2.95.
I’m not sure whether they work for everyone or just from people from the US/Canada and since I didn’t use any myself, I cannot make any guarantees.

I’ve noticed an interesting thing about domainers or to take things one step further, investors in general. Most of them seem to think they can predict the future and if their ego got a boost after being right in the past… watch out 🙂

The debates are beginning to heat up when it comes to new gTLDs and during such debates, a lot of domainers are unfortunately using strong words without realizing that they’re far from objective when it comes to the matter at hand.
Let’s be honest, almost nobody is unbiased.

Not bad! According to RegistrarStats.com, there were 19,954 dot link registrations yesterday. Dot photo also did well, with 5,196 registrations and the same thing can be said about dot gift (4,392 registrations yesterday). Dot pics didn’t do as well as dot photo but still, it got 2,210 registrations on the first day of general availability. Dot guitars however only got 346 registrations and represents the worst performer out of the 5 Uniregistry new gTLDs which just went live.

Now sure, the “super premiums” probably won’t be affected but let’s be honest, not even the best domainers have portfolios that consist only of amazing domains. Pretty much everyone has “so-so” domains and it’s precisely those domains that will be affected by new gTLDs.
Let me explain why.

When I announced the “official” launch of MegaSites.com yesterday (the actual launch took place in 2013 but wasn’t public, I basically limited myself to a few pilot projects to test the concept), I made it clear that developing small websites is *not* a viable long-term business model in 2014 and beyond. As some of you who have been around for a while know, I’ve been repeating this on DomainingTips obsessively for several years.

As you know, I’ve done a case study about each newly launched project and MegaSites.com won’t represent an exception. Some of you might remember that for many years, I’ve stated on DomainingTips.com time and time again that building small websites is *not* a viable long-term business model because quite frankly, such websites don’t genuinely provide value to visitors. Through MegaSites.com, I’ve decided to do the exact opposite of what most webmasters choose to do by focusing on large useful websites (preferably 100+ articles).

GoDaddy hasn’t been very generous lately, barely managed to find 4 coupons for you guys this week. One of them should bring the price down to $1.99, two of them should bring the price down to $2.95 and one should bring the price down to $5.99 (the discount isn’t as good but it seems you can use this one for multiple domains, not sure how many though).

Your initial reaction might be something along the lines of “Why do I need *two* screens?” and it’s understandable, I had a similar one but after I started using two screens, I never looked back. Maybe you’re a domainer, maybe you’re an online entrepreneur, maybe both. It doesn’t matter, you’ll experience an impressive productivity boost either way. Don’t just take my word for it though, study after study has proven that an additional screen helps quite a bit.
