The DomainingTips and SnapNames “New Year’s Showcase Auction”

Posted on 05 January 2010 by BillionDollarMedia

2010 will start with a record-breaking auction, you’ve heard it here first. I’m auctioning my best domains and I’m pricing them all to sell. Offended.com, Dullard.com, Armchair.net, Necklace.net, Casserole.net, Epilator.net and about 100 more (click HERE if you want to be taken directly to the SnapNames auction page)!

I’ll be perfectly honest with you: 2010 represents your last chance to buy amazing domains on the cheap. There’s a small window of opportunity and if you don’t act fast, it’ll be gone. For good. Don’t take my word for it, check out some of the domains and the reserves (click HERE if you want to be taken to the main SnapNames auction page).

Why am I selling?

Simply put: I’m launching a HUGE project (the most important thing I’ve been involved with since I started making money online) and need low 6 figures at the very least in order to make things happen. Will I include a case study on the blog? Of course, stay tuned!

Use your brain, take a look at some of these domains (click on the domain you’re interested in buying and you will be taken to the auction page for that specific domain or click HERE and you will be taken to the main SnapNames auction page, where all of the domains can be found) and draw your own conclusions. When you’re selling domains like the ones you’ll see below, there really isn’t much you can say. In fact, I won’t say anything else about them today, I’ll let them speak for themselves.

For starters, here are some amazing one-word dot com and dot net domains. They’ve got “turn me into a million dollar business” written all over them, see for yourself:

Offended.com
Armchair.net
Casserole.net
Necklace.net
Epilator.net
ComputerChair.com
Dullard.com

Alright, time for some of the Web’s best two-word product name dot coms. If you don’t understand why the value of these babies can only go up, you’re probably better off staying away from the Internet altogether.

The 88 exact match product name dot coms below, domains such as HydronicHeating.com (regged back in 1999), FleetInsurance.com (regged back in 1998), CanadianFlights.com (regged back in 1999) and ComputerChair.com (regged back in 1999), are being auctioned as we speak. Here they are:

Aside from these amazing domains, I’m selling the most impressive .mx portfolio on the market. Again, don’t take my word for it, check the domains out yourself. Dot mx domains represent one of the greatest investment opportunities for domainers at this point. Who wouldn’t want to invest in the top level domain of the world’s 10th economy?

Talk is cheap, so I’ll let the domains advertise themselves. Here are 6 domains which represent international words (in other words, the English version is used worldwide):

AntiSpyware.mx
Management.mx
MiniGolf.mx
PingPong.mx
Spyware.mx
Tuning.mx

And, of course, here are the Spanish (Mexico’s official language) dot mx domains I’m selling:

Abrigos.mx (coats)
Apartamentos.mx
Brasieres.mx (bras)
Bufandas.mx (scarves)
Calzones.mx (panties)
Camas.mx (beds)
Escritorios.mx (desks)
Mesas.mx (tables)
Pijamas.mx (pajamas)

I’ll let the domains do all of the talking: take a look at the list, take a look at the reserves and you’ll understand why the DomainingTips and SnapNames “New Year’s Showcase Auction” represents an investment opportunity you don’t exactly come across every day.

Interested in placing a bid? Here’s what you have to do:

1) Click HERE and you’ll be taken to the main SnapNames.com auction page

2) Sign up for an account and place a bid, anyone can sign up for a free account in less than a minute and start bidding

These have to be some of the best bargains I’ve ever seen. Let me ask you this real quick, are you crazy? I see offended.com, I see necklace.net and a bunch of others at less than $10,000. You’re letting them go way too cheap, way way way too cheap!!!!!!!!!

  2. Andrei Says:

You’re right, what I’m doing is very risky but since I need some serious $ in order to fund the project I’ve mentioned, auctioning my best domains is practically the only option. I know I would have been able to sell them for a LOT more by playing the buy and hold game but at this point, that is just not possible.

  3. DannyB Says:

It’s a rarity to see premium domains like these priced so low. These are actually premium domains, it’s refreshing to see good domains. Forums can be depressing sometimes when you look at some of the domains people list, I hope the auction will be a success and I encourage more people who want liquidity to sell at affordable prices like you’re doing. People who own good domains usually want a fortune and they don’t want to budge, I know from experience…

  4. Nick Says:

Can’t wait to see what your new project will be, it sounds big if you need over $100k to fund it. This auction will be beneficial to the industry as a whole in my opinion, I’m thinking about bidding on some but I’m trying to decide on just one (which I’m not going to make public heh).

  5. Byteno Says:

Would you be interested in partnerships for some of the domains in case they don’t sell?I have a good business idea for one of them and we would share profits

  6. u-me Says:

They don’t have paypal in my country, how can I pay for the domain? I will bid on one of the domains without reserve, which is the most effective method to pay?

  7. Ryan Says:

You have my support, I’ve blogged about the auction earlier today. You are willing to put great domains on the line with low reserves and I respect that. I’ll watch this auction closely, I’m actually very curious which domain will fetch the most.

  8. Valonline Says:

I analyze the industry closely and couldn’t help but notice that a lot of your very good domains have never even been advertised anywhere else before. I remember what someone said about 2009 and 2010, that we will see more domains which have never been available before for sale. As opposed to some of the boom years when domain owners were not willing to sell, now is the best time to be a buyer since the dot com bust.

  9. Xdreamer Says:

Your portfolio is really very special, there isn’t even one bad domain on that list. A big WOW :)

  10. great domain names Says:

yea of course you are a great a human with great buisinessmind

  11. Ghillie Suits Says:

Great list. I just need to research the suppliers for some of these products first.

  12. Abe Says:

These are indeed good names and seem to be priced to sell at all costs.
Good luck with your project! As the owner of a few .mx like beer.mx (which I need to develop), I am looking forward to see how your auction goes.

  13. HiteTech Says:

I have some domainer friends that I let know about these auctions. I’m kinda surprised that your seling some of these names.

  14. Eric Says:

    Hi :)

I have a question. Is bad to have – in domain names? Which one is better? My-Domain.com or MyDomian.com

There are cases that MyDomian.com is not available. So I go for My-Domain.com.

How many -s you can have in a domain?

    Thanks for your help.

  15. Andrei Says:

@Eric: hyphenated domains (aside from a few notable exceptions) are not great investments but if branding is not extremely important when it comes to the project you have in mind sure, you can go with the “-” version. There will definitely be no SEO penalties involved if you use just one hyphen, no need to worry about that. On the other hand though, I’d stay away from My-Domain-Name.com, My-Great-Domain-Name.com and so on, one hyphen is ok but if we’re talking about 2+ hyphens, you’d be walking on dangerous territory :)

  16. Leprechaun Costumes Says:

Saw your blog bookmarked on Digg.
