Now that I’ve introduced myself and shared the experience of my first domain name sale in my last post, I thought I would fast forward a bit and share some insight that I found useful years ago, but that still helps me today. Over the years, I have become quite disciplined in evaluating and buying domains, and these small practices served me very well in the beginning.

Another day, is what I was thinking when I looked at my email that Wednesday morning, and noticed an unusual line saying, “I’m interested in your domain name”. I had never sold a domain name before and this was 2002, a time when the only thing I was doing was buying domains here and there for development. I was deeply involved in lead generation for my company at the time, creating thousands of leads for each week for mortgage loans.
