I really like YouTube and there are certain content producers there that I have lots of respect for. Therefore, whenever possible, I help these people make money. By buying merchandise from them, by helping them fund projects through kickstarter-type campaigns and so on.
Why?
Because these people don’t live on oxygen alone.
They have expenses, they have families and so on.
In other words, they have to… you’ve guessed it, make money.
I never really understood why some people proudly say that they use ad blockers. If everyone did that, content producers wouldn’t make money and they’d stop writing articles, posting videos and so on. So in my opinion (but since I’m a blogger, I’m obviously biased haha), not only should people *stop* using ad blockers, they should actively support the content producers they like.
The same principle is valid when it comes to the domaining.
If a blogger I like contacts me to ask for a favor, I’ll do my best to help.
So should you.
Let’s not take the people who produce quality content for granted by simply consuming that content selfishly and never helping them out. Just my 2 cents.
