In my opinion, the Sedo team should start taking their GreatDomains events more seriously.
I’m pretty sure at least 80% of the people reading the post had no idea the auctions were running. Sedo is a huge company and at this level, they really do need to increase their marketing budget… or start having a marketing budget for GreatDomains because I’m not even sure they have one.
I’m not saying they should advertise on my blog but… ok, I guess I *am* saying that 🙂
Sedo is a good company but if they don’t advertise their events, GreatDomains will pretty much be a thing of the past and that would be a shame.
Anyway, click HERE to take a look at the entire list.
Here are some of the domains that are being advertised this month:
OAL.com
VOF.com
MHJ.com
DR.co.uk
TIFA.com
Servers.mx
eDomain.com
Listen.co.uk
SK.nl
3034.com

They are advertising on a rotating banner at the top of DomainNameWire.com and have been for quite a while. Every month some regurgitates the same story about Sedo’s marketing despite the advertising that they do that nobody ever notices anyways.

@Chris: Sedo is a major player, so one ad on one blog is definitely not enough. We’re not just talking about a small company, we’re talking about a very important one.
They should be all over the place if they’re serious about preserving market share in my opinion.
Our industry isn’t huge and there aren’t that many good websites you can advertise on. The money they’d spend advertising on all the popular blogs, for example, is peanuts compared to the money they’re losing due to the market share erosion by not doing that.
