In my case, the fact that I’m writing this post today should make the answer obvious 🙂
Then again, I don’t consider most of the things I do “work” and don’t have a “can’t wait to get this over with”-ish attitude. Sure, some of the things I do are more enjoyable than others and yes, there are occasionally tasks I find boring but for the most part, I’m fortunate enough to be able to say that I truly love what I do.

Great list today and most of these have been tested by the NamePros member dhsave (he posted other coupons as well but I’m only including those that he mentions have been tested, 23 out of the 27 are his contribution).
Haven’t tested these myself though and I’m not sure which work for everyone and which only work for people from the US/Canada.

In my opinion, a “domain for sale” landing page probably represents a better choice than parking for new gTLDs. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy, a simple page through which you provide details would/should be more than enough.

Can those who invest in new gTLDs do well? I think so but for that to happen, their business model has to be realistic. People who own amazing dot coms pretty much get to make the rules. They can play hard to get, they can refuse to budge and the list could go on and on. If you bought amazing dot coms let’s say 15 years ago, it’s hard *not* to do well.
Even if you screw up royally during a negotiation every once in a while, there are plenty of other buyers who want your domain just as badly as the person who walked away. While I do think there is money to be made with new gTLDs, I firmly believe a paradigm shift is in order.

… am I the only one who thinks this is pretty important?
Other registrars managed to do it, so figuring out a solution can’t be *that* difficult. I remember the first time I tried to perform a bulk search for new gTLDs, noticed it didn’t work and thought it’s only a temporary situation.

In my opinion we are because quite frankly, all of the signs are there. Over the past couple of years, numerics have significantly outperformed other domain categories. Demand from Asia played the most important role by far, there’s no question about that.

So many domainers just sit on a variety of different types of domains waiting for offers. A lot of times they’ll also try seeking out potential end users (usually in vain). The secret is to focus and put all of your domains in a niche under one roof. Drive potential buyers in that niche to your stable of domains. Then you’re not relying on that rare type-in from a buyer who thought up the name on their own or lost in a sea of a million domain names at one of the three biggies.

Back in March, I stopped moderating comments as an experiment and since the experiment can be considered a success, I decided to take things one step further by rewarding the top DomainingTips commentators.

Managed to find 7 GoDaddy coupons for you guys this week. Three of them should work worldwide (so not just for customers from the US/Canada) and as far as the remaining 4 are concerned, I’m not sure.
Didn’t use any myself, so I can’t make any guarantees.

Is it true that registries are holding back a lot of their best domains?
Yes.
Is it true that high registration and renewal fees have historically proven to be problematic for domainers?
Yes.
