Should You Accept All/Most Solid Offers?

Posted on 21 March 2013 by Andrei

The truth is, there are no “one size fits all” answers to this question.

On the one hand, it’s very likely that for most domains (I am of course excluding super premiums from the equation), you will probably not receive better end user offers in the future.

Therefore, a lot of people are flexible for this reason and as long as the sale generates a good return on their investment, it’s all good. They recoup their investment, use the profits to replace their inventory and move on.

From mom and pop shop owners to huge corporation CEOs, a lot of people still don’t understand why buying a solid domain is one of the best investments you could possibly make.

Should you educate them?

It all depends on how much time/effort you have to invest.

Stock Market vs. Domain Market?

Posted on 18 March 2013 by Andrei

I always find it amusing whenever I come across someone writing about the fact that he wants to become a stock trader and “trade the news”… little does he know that by the time he reads a headline, other players are already knew about it and acted accordingly.

In other words, he’s a harmless little fish surrounded by sharks.

Another $0.99 GoDaddy Coupon

Posted on 15 March 2013 by Andrei

After yesterday’s article where I explained why I love being a cheap bastard, it should come as no surprise that today’s post is a coupon 🙂

I try to find one juicy GD coupon for you guys each week. Unfortunately, it’s a US/Canada one again, I wish there were more international coupons for such deals but unfortunately, it seems most of them are only for customers from the US/Canada lately.

I’m a Cheap Bastard

Posted on 14 March 2013 by Andrei

… and proud of it 🙂

As domainers and I’d say as investors in general, cheap bastards have an advantage in my opinion: their ability to say “no” when it comes to irrational capital allocation temptations.

Can Domainers Make Money Without Investing Time?

Posted on 13 March 2013 by Andrei

… yes, they can.

But they’re not going to achieve optimal results, which is not necessarily always a bad thing.

Let’s assume someone blindly bought 30 LLL dot coms in 2003 and simply kept them for 10 years. That person probably overpaid on most occasions but still, his investment generated an excellent return.

In my opinion, that will also be the case if you buy 30 LLL dot coms now and keep them for 10 years.
