Too bad he stopped with aeiou, maybe he could have found a solution like lowering his prices without it affecting the quality of his sites too much. He said there’s no money in web design but I think what he meant is that there’s no money for him in web design because it’s too much work compared to how much he’s making. I know designers who earn a living online but it’s also true that they don’t make 100k+ yearly, so that might have been why Rick pulled the plug.

Good for him for trying so many things and you’re right. What others have to say has no influence on the way we live our lives and make money. Or at least it shouldn’t if you plan on being successful. Others or at least most of the people who know you exist don’t care about you, so why care about what they have to say?

I like that you say it like it is. Nobody’s perfect and all we can do is try hard until we finally achieve what we wanted with one business. And then we move to another and try again.
