Guys — thanks a lot for your messages and IMs. I and my family is safe.
Today 7 bomb blasts rocked my city of Jaipur in the evening. All it took was 15 minutes of serial blasts to leave more than 70 people are dead and more than 300 are critically injured. Thankfully two bombs were diffused in time.
UPDATE: Now it has been confirmed that there were a total of 9 Blasts and 4 diffused. Police raided a lot of places the whole night and arrested more than 10 people. It is alleged that a female was responsible for planting the bombs. Currently there has been imposed a precautionary curfew on 14 parts of the city.

Incidents like these go on to show how short life is to waste fretting and worrying about petty matters and not enjoying every moment that you have been given on this world.

It’s a mad world we live in. Very good to hear that you and your family is well though. And yes - sometimes we all take things for granted in life and events like that is enough to give anyone a wake-up call. Let’s hope they catch the cowards and let them have it..
@ImagesAndWords - I sure hope so. And I am glad that we have capital punishment in India. So I seriously hope that they get caught and are sent to the gallows.
@Sammy — The whole city has been turned into a fortress. There is police and rapid action force (anti-riot police) on every corner of the city. I just hope it doesn’t turn communal as the criminals wanted it.

My deepest sympathies to the victims of this senseless and cowardly attack.
It is good to hear that you are keeping safe, Lord Brar.
I hope the Indian government decides to hunt down these people like dogs and punish them. Simply issuing statements condemming this cowardly attack is not good enough. It is time the government take strong measures to protect its citizens.
Follow the lead of Israel and America and target these terrorists wheever they may live.
The government must let the state intelligence and defence services apprehend these cowardly wannabe heroes through whatever means possible.
It is time India and Israel sign a long term strategic alliance to combat terrorism.

Courtney - I seriously wish that at this moment the old BJP government was in power. Dare these terrorists do any such thing in the state of Gujarat and then we will see how they can get away with it.
I doubt our current government has the guts to do what BJP’s government headed by Prime Minister Vajpayee did when our Parliament was attacked.
Thankfully, Rajasthan’s Vasundhara Raje Government and police have a reputation for being pretty good and solving some complex cases in past. Hope they are able to do it this time too.
Sympathies to the families. As far as it goes, didnt the BJP ban SIMI while the present govt. lifted the ban.
Spot-on Alan! Not only that, they also repealed Prevention of Terrorism Act and are holding back the hanging of convicted terrorists by the Supreme Court of India.
In order to attract the minority muslim vote, they are destroying India.
