It all depends on how much time/effort you have to invest.
Let’s assume you want to transfer 5 domains to a registrar. All you have to do is search for some coupons and bam, you’re good to go, shouldn’t take more than a minute or so.
Even if you’ll only save $40 – $50 or whatever, it’s a good deal because you only invested roughly a minute of your time.
On the other hand, if you have to do considerably more than that in order to obtain the discount, it’s all a matter of figuring out whether or not you’d be able to make more money than what you’d be saving by investing your time doing something else.
That’s all there is to it.
How much is an hour of your time worth?
How important is the inconvenience factor in your case?
… and so on.
Ask yourself questions like these and you’ll be able to determine whether or not bargain hunting is worth it in your case.
