GoDaddy Disallowing In-Store Credit Use with Certain Coupons

Posted on 17 January 2013 by Andrei

It seems GoDaddy is no longer letting you use in-store credits to pay for purchases for which you use certain coupons (again, certain coupons, not all of them). Just thought I’d let you know in case you were wondering why you’re not able to finalize the checkout process.

I think they decided to do this recently (~24 hours ago), I’m not from the US so I couldn’t take advantage of the Groupon in-store credit thingy (therefore, I’m not able to test this myself) but several people are reporting the fact that you can no longer use in-store credits in conjunction with certain coupons, so I’m 99% sure it’s a recent GoDaddy decision and not a temporary bug or something like that.

Not 100% sure how to figure out which coupons work with in-store credit and which don’t (I *think* they’re disallowing the use of in-store credits for promotions/coupons for which there were already payment method restrictions such as the $0.99 coupons), so the only thing you can do is test each one and see what happens :)
