As an entrepreneur, I like the fact that FB is interested in making more money and while this specific development may not seem like news that should be important to domainers, it might represent a signal that a Facebook ad network which is open to publishers could make its appearance.
That, my friends, would represent excellent news for our industry because as I mentioned on more than one occasion, a FB monetization platform would be a great way to make money from traffic for which traditional methods do not represent the best solution. Now something like a FB monetization platform is only a dream at this point but personally, I hope they open their eyes and realize just how much money they’re leaving on the table by not letting publishers help them generate revenue.

I want to upload pictures from my phone but I have to give Facebook my cell phone number to use Facebook mobile. Is it safe? Will Facebook send me a bunch of ads? Will they use my number for something else?

I am still not sure on how they would track the users accurately as FaceBook has huge potential and can get thousands of clicks in few days if you don’t keep close eye on audience you have been targeting. If you want to give a try, make daily analysis of quality of traffic you have been getting from mobile ads.
