DomainingTips.com Is 9 Years Old!!!

Posted on 12 February 2017 by Andrei

It’s ridiculous how time flies!

A little over 9 years ago (on the 31st of January 2008), the previous owner of DomainingTips.com published his first post and roughly a year and a half later, I bought the blog from him and took over. This means I’ve been blogging on DomainingTips for roughly 7 and a half years. Wow. Just wow!

The industry has changed a lot over the years.

Some of the people I’ve interacted with as a blogging beginner are still here, some have moved on to other ventures.

And speaking of ventures, I can’t believe how many projects I’ve launched over these 7 and a half years: two development services, three hosting businesses, a small escrow service, an auction platform, a brokerage service, a YouTube channel and even a 457-page monster of a book! You’ve seen me succeed, you’ve seen me screw up royally 🙂

As a blogger, my attitude has never been “OMG, I’m so awesome!” but rather “Here’s what I’m currently doing, let’s see what happens!”… I’d much rather be realistic than try to brand myself as someone who never fails. In fact, you’ve probably learned more from my failures than from my success stories.

I’m by no means someone with a 100% success rate.

But I’m a hard worker and always brave enough to throw stuff at a wall and see what sticks.

The result? Well, I’m still here 🙂

Still doing what I love and sharing my experience with you guys.

Am I a multi-gazillionaire?

Nope, I’m reasonably confident I never will be. Unless an old multi-gazillionaire leaves me all his money, in which case… well, thanks… and RIP.

But this crazy series of tubes we call the Interwebz has enabled me to be financially secure while doing stuff I love.

Which is just what I need and words can’t begin to describe how grateful I am 🙂

Thanks for putting up with me over these 90 months guys!
