You’ve seen their banner on a lot of popular blogs (including DomainingTips.com), you found out that they’ve purchased DomainState.com and are probably asking yourself: who are these guys, what are they putting on the table? Well, let’s find out:
Above.com – NOT a Parking Company
Above.com is basically a domain name parking manager, here’s what makes them special: there are countless threads and blog posts related to the “which parking company pays more?” topic and the thing is, there’s no definite answer to that question.
In some cases, you’ll make more money via Parked.com, in other cases Sedo pays more and the list could go on and on. Should you start finding the best solution the old-fashioned way, should you start analyzing each domain one by one? Sure, you could do that but:
1) You’d have to invest a LOT of time
2) You’d lose some money initially
Above.com to the Rescue
Fortunately for you, Above.com represents a great solution to your parking optimization problems. The major parking companies are supported, signing up is 100% free and making things happen is not exactly rocket science. Over a million domains are being optimized via Above.com and, as some of you already know, these guys won the “Best New Monetizing Solution” T.R.A.F.F.I.C. award last year.
Check their website out yourself, click here and sign up for an account. If you’re serious about domaining, tracking everything is extremely important. And especially given the fact that things are tricky when it comes to PPC parking these days, you need to up your game if you want to stay on top

I think it’s great that these companies have chosen premium domains for their websites. Above.com, parked.com, fabulous.com etc. Gives some extra credibility to the industry, not bad.

They seem to know what they’re doing, I hope everything works out for them

Good thing people are being creative. After the parking revenue fiasco of 2009 I guess all domainers are left to do is be creative and find ways to compensate for the lowered revenue they get from parking companies. I think the minimum has been reached, my gut feeling tells me parking revenues will increase this year. There is no logical argument for it to continue to lower.

DomainState is by far the forum with the most pearls of wisdom. Above.com made the right choice buying it, it’s the only forum which is not full of utterly useless threads which just waste your time.

It is really great to find a post so easy to read without overwhelming the reader

I think payouts will continue to trend down.
I would not be surprised if Google closes up shop on parking and pulls the feed. I have my reasons to think this.
I agree with DSmember……DomainState is the last frontier. NamePros and DNForum were destroyed by newbie morons a year or so ago.
